ACT III – Zeus and Ursa Major and Ursa Minor

One day, a young man saw her while he was hunting. She also saw him and recognized in him her own son, now a man. She stopped, wanting to embrace him. As she approached, the frightened young man raised his hunting spear and was about to pierce her, when Jupiter, seeing what was happening, prevented the crime and separated the two, placing them in the sky, turning them into the constellations of Ursa Major and Ursa Minor.
